Help & FAQs

Get quick answers and clear guidance on how to use ByteBid. No fluff — just real help.

Getting Started

Start by signing up with your email. You’ll receive a verification code — enter it to activate your account. Once verified, complete your profile by adding a display name, bio, and selecting whether you're a creator or a brand. Only then can you connect socials or apply to gigs.

Choosing Tags

You can select up to 5 tags that define your content or brand focus — like tech, fashion, gaming, or fitness. These tags are the backbone of our gig-matching engine. Brands create gigs with specific tag targets, and if your tags align, you get notified. You can update these tags any time from your profile settings.

Bidding on Gigs

Once you find a gig that fits your vibe, hit 'Place a Bid'. You’ll be prompted to write a custom message to the brand. This is where you pitch yourself — talk about your content, your audience, and why you're a great fit. Your connected socials and stats are auto-included, but your message makes the difference.

Account & Security

We use OAuth to connect your socials — we never store your passwords. All sensitive actions (like changing email or tags) require re-authentication. If you notice anything weird — unfamiliar login, gig activity you didn’t do — reach out to support@bytebid.in immediately and we’ll lock it down.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect my social accounts?

Go to your profile and click ‘Connect’ on YouTube, Instagram, or Twitter. You’ll go through a secure OAuth flow, and once complete, we’ll pull in your public stats like followers and engagement to show brands.

Can I change my selected tags later?

Absolutely. Head to your profile > Tags section, deselect old ones, and pick new ones. Just keep it under 5 total. We use these to match you to sponsor gigs, so keep them relevant.

Why can't I see any gigs?

You’ll only see gigs if: 1) Your email is verified, 2) You’ve selected at least 1 tag, and 3) You've connected at least one social. If all that checks out and you still see nothing, it may just be a low-traffic moment — hang tight or tweak your tags for a better match.

How do bids work?

Each time you bid on a gig, the brand sees your profile, your connected socials, and the message you wrote. Brands shortlist the best fits and may reach out directly via email or in-platform messaging (coming soon). You can’t see other bids — it’s not an auction, it's a pitch.

Is ByteBid free to use?

Yup — for creators, it’s 100% free. You can connect socials, browse gigs, and bid without paying a rupee. Brands pay to post gigs and access premium features like analytics or boosted placements.
